Based on the bimetallic barrel and bimetallic screw previously developed by our company, this micro-extruder features a better wear and corrosion resistant alloy protective layer, making it suitable for applications where there are extremely high risks of high wearing that ultimately degrades the equipment. We are proud to produce a variety of high-output and high-speed single screw extruders, as well as normal parallel twin-screw extruders commonly used for compound modification. In recent years, our core technology has turned to the R&D of ceramic membrane extruders for water treatment, with a number of attractive features, including an extreme wear resistance and resistance to alkaline corrosion. These ceramic membrane extruders are then often used in the production of exterior wall insulation and decorative boards. We have also developed a variety of micro-twin (micro-conical) extruders used for pharmaceutical material compounding, with a special core component manufacturing material.
In early drug development states, scientists often need to configure a micro-twin (micro-conical) compounding extruder for compounding materials into nanometer sizes. We invested our efforts in this field at the customer’s request, and in doing so, we became aware that due to special “mini” characteristics of the extruder, development was expected to be difficult. Despite this, we enjoy working on the extrusion technology, and look forward to meeting the challenge of extruder uses in extreme working conditions, and filling the gap for those extruder types in China’s extrusion field.
We have faced numerous difficulties in the development of these extruders. For example, the limited space of a micro-extruder requires a power system layout with a dual-shaft output. We have no prior experience to draw on for reference, and no ready-made product solutions here in China.
Another problem is the extremely small size of mechanical parts, leading to processing difficulties. Micro-twin (micro-conical) barrels and screws normally have extremely high precision requirements and strict quality requirements, making it extremely difficult to process them according to those requirements. Many micro-twin (micro-conical) screws even need to be manufactured on a four-axis linkage machining center to meet these requirements. Without the resources we had, so many domestic professional companies became discouraged and halted when they saw our barrel and screw design drawings.
Within our history, we have used special manufacturing materials, and have accumulated extensive experience in micro-twin (micro-conical) extruder core component production.
